Serged or T&T...

Free use for everyone! Make your own, or sell diapers made from it. :)

Or a new "tester" NB-S fitted pattern because my old one is soooo outdated and rough.

  13. do I need to put so many snaps on the front of the nappy? Why is there 2 rows when the cap side only looks like it goes on one row.

    1. The M/L template is for a fold-over/fold-down adjustable rise diaper. Some of the sockets face in, others out. To change the size of the rise of the diaper, you can fold the top over and use the inside snaps, etc. For the newborn, it is also an adjustable rise setting, but not a fold-over style. You use the lower snaps and the umbilical snaps for the NB setting or for babies with a shorter rise (smaller pelvis) and the higher row of snaps for bigger newborns or older babies who use a size small.

    2. Thank you for explaining that
Also if I want to make pocket diapers do I cut this by 2? what fabric is recommended as a liner for a pocket diaper?

    3. Check out my "different pocket diaper styles" link on the right navigation links. ANY template can be made into any style of diaper. But there are some that work better for PUL diapers like AIOs, AI2s, and pocket diapers since those are a bit more coverage. Fitteds are typically less coverage because they are worn with a cover which has to extend out further in all directions than the fitted to cover them.
Pocket diapers are typically microfleece/microchamois, suedecloth (like alova), or wicking pique/jersey for their stay-dry inners.

    4. For any style of diaper-sewing, you should always start with my sewing a basic diaper start to finish tutorial. As those assembly methods are used in the vast majority of diapers.

    1. They're not intended for the constant wetness and heavy duty wash routines of diapers. They might be ok for fitted diapers (if they don't rust) but you couldn't put them in a dryer with any PUL diapers or covers. The metal could heat up and damage any PUL it touches. Plastic KAM snaps are recommended for diapering.
